Beautiful waste of an couple of hours of my life. :/
I must admit to having cheated a bit with the cord. I did not relish the idea of painting every little bump on that thing. And I didn't feel like doing a background so used a generic cloud filter thing. It was taking way too much time for comfort. Everything else, however, directly contributed to the pain in my hand. Including the little ring that the cord is attached to; I'm very proud of that little thing.

It's something like citrine or maybe even garnet set in some generic dull black metal (probably iron). Nothing special. Wanted it to be cymophane, but chatoyance is something I have yet to figure out how to draw.
