Happy Birthday, Edgar Allan Poe! This may not beat the Poe Toaster's gift of alcohol, but it's a tribute nonetheless. *confetti*

So yeah. I recently got the idea of turning Poe's famous works into webcomic format. Which was a great idea until I realized I'd never seriously drawn a raven (or any sort of bird, for that matter) in my life. So, I Googled for ravens, and sketched out something on MS Paint. Which, I liked so much that I decided to paint it, something I'd also never seriously done (digitally, that is). So this is the end result, which I am rather satisfied with. Momentarily, at least.

This will mostly end up as a splash page for previously mentioned webcomic. I'm not ready to put up anything yet, but the idea of launching such a comic on Poe's birthday is something that the romantic portion of my soul screams for me to do. So. I will run over to SJ now.
